THE SCHOOL
The Fondazione Barilla School is a free, eight-week professional training program for young people from disadvantaged backgrounds, offering them the opportunity to enter the world of hospitality.
The course combines theory and practice: lessons in cooking, nutrition, and waste management are alternated with workshops and hands-on activities.
At the end of the course, a practical internship allows participants to get closer to the professional world, completing their training as chefs attentive to taste, well-being, and the planet.
In this way, food becomes a starting point: an opportunity to grow, overcome challenges, and build their future.
EDUCATION
Fondazione Barilla presents the educational project “Us, Food, Our Planet”, developed in collaboration with Civicamente, a company specializing in digital development and educational outreach. The project aims to provide teachers and students of all levels with educational content that explores the challenges and opportunities for saving food both at home and beyond.
RESEARCH
Founded in 2009, Fondazione Barilla was established as a think tank dedicated to studying the relationship between food, health, and the planet through a multidisciplinary scientific approach. Today, this knowledge is translated into educational and outreach projects and publications, aimed at promoting conscious food choices and generating a positive impact on everyday life.
