Fondazione Barilla is a non-profit scientific research organization, established in 2009 with the aim of studying and analyzing key issues related to food in both the agri-food and scientific sectors. Since then, Fondazione Barilla has promoted responsible behavior and conscious food choices, with the goal of driving meaningful societal change.

Since 2022, Fondazione Barilla has focused its efforts on disseminating the knowledge it has developed over time, helping people understand how the impact of small daily actions can contribute to personal health and environmental protection.

Prof. RICCARDO VALENTINI

Professor at the University of Tuscia; strategic consultant at the Euro-Mediterranean Center on Climate Change (CMCC) Foundation.

Strategic Director of the IAFES Climate Impacts Division at the Euro-Mediterranean Center on Climate Change Foundation, he and his team were awarded the 2007 Nobel Peace Prize for their work at the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC).

He has been a researcher at the Department of Plant Biology of the Carnegie Institution of Washington and at the European Commission Joint Research Center, focusing on Ecology, agri-forestry systems and issues related to the implementation of international conventions to protect the environment.

His publications have appeared in highly prestigious international scientific journals such as “Science” and “Nature”.

Dr. LUCIO CARACCIOLO

Lucio Caracciolo (Rome, 1954) is editor-in-chief of the Rivista Geopolitica Italiana, Limes, (www.limesonline.com) and Head of Geopolitics at Macrogeo.

He teaches Strategic Studies at LUISS University, Rome and Geopolitics at San Raffaele University, Milan.

He frequently writes columns for Italy’s “La Repubblica” newspaper and “L’Espresso” magazine. Author of articles for various magazines, in Italy and abroad. Former tutor in Geopolitics at the University of Rome 3. Author of numerous essays and books on these topics.
